I hope we don't have another Ultron on our hands (and I really liked spader!) or you know, 95% of the marvel villains that aren't loki.

Also I thought avengers 3 was the end goal but they'll be making more movies after that. I thought thanos was the darkseid of marvel so where do they take the story from there after they defeat this oh so powerful villain whom everyone fears. Are there more villains up their arsenal?

Are you implying Marvel can do villains?
Juggernaut in X3 was terrible.
Pooky was a joke. Okay, he always is but more than usual.

All that'll happen is one the actors wants out of the franchise and they die in an effort to stop Thanos. Or most likely: Loki and Hela team up with the good guys as a "better saving the world than Thanos destroying it".

Neither of these had anything to do with Marvel.

I don't think he's been over-built so much as under-developed. Right now he's basically space Hitler who also occasionally enslaves the children of the planets he conquers and conscripts them into his intergalactic army, when he's not torturing them or forcing them to kill one another. These are so ridiculously evil he's looking like cartoon mcvillain.

is he really that built up? I haven't seen guardians 2, but to me nothing about is really seems built up.

his motivation is he wants the stones. Why more power i guess but he is already more powerful then ronin, and has an army at his call. what other things has he done? he likes making children into assassins

did guardian 2 actually add something, because he looks very generic. he looks like your standard way underdeveloped marvel villian

He hasn't been developed, no, but he's been teased since goddamn 2012

The most development we have is that smile he gives the camera at the end of his spoiler in the first avengers film. And that's less of a frame of reference for Marvel Universe newcomers and more of an Easter egg for comic book fans who know that line about courting death is not entirely figurative.

I mean, do you really expect them to flesh out his character throughout his combined 5 minutes worth of cameos?

I really do hope they have someone explain his motivation because it's kind of a cool, unique motivation.

So little is known about him in the MCU that I have a feeling one or both sides of the Marvel fan camp are going to be disappointed. Comic fans are going to be mad if he isn't as strong or as dangerous as he is in the comics...and if he is, I'm sure regular film fans are going to be mad that he's so OP. I dunno.

The power levels are all over the place, anyway.
Captain America is far, far more powerful than in comics.
Hulk bounces between power levels every few seconds.
Thor is near useless at times and other times he could probably the rest of the team out in five seconds.

Perhaps lust is exhibited differently when the object of your affection is the personification of death.

I dunno. the most poetic way I've seen (in some dumb fanfiction or another) is that Thanos is insane, believes death is a physical woman, and that he sends her courting gifts. That is, the life of every living creature he can kill.

Most likely it will be 90% of the avengers arguing with each other then 9% of Thanos exposition and flexing, then 1% fighting with him going down in some comical and easy way.

Maybe they'll kill one Avenger so it feels like it got real.

Death is a woman. In the comics, Thanos killed half of the entire universe (using the infinity stones/gauntlet) as a gift to her and builds a giant shrine for her.

Also, that right there ^ is fucking great lmao

Oh, I know the comics have death. I can just see the movies not giving that detail and just saying Thanos is insane.

^ ^ Hasn't the very existence of something like guardians of the galaxy and a talking raccoon proven that marvel readily embrace anything comic booky? It's one of the reasons why they're so popular. Not to mention how good thor 3 looks *knocks on wooden crossed fingers*

Not because it's comic booky, just because it may be a little too detailed to get into.
