Let me just preface by saying I LOVE the city of Dallas; the food is incredible, the city looks gorgeous at sunset/night with the lit up buildings, there are some good clubs to go to on the weekends that play awesome electronic music and there are a few good retro game stores that I found, but I want to kill myself when driving with this dumb-ass traffic. I get that people live 20-30 mins from work and don't want to be late, but don't act like an asshole and not signal when changing lanes, or speeding up when I'm trying to get ahead of you. Also, the construction is all over the place; sometimes, I get cut off from traffic when trying to switch lanes because the one I'm in is being worked on and I came close to crashing into cones because an idiot wouldn't let me over. Also, most people are just flat-out RUDE! I try to act like a gentleman and hold doors for people when going into a restaurant, but they almost never thank me and look at me like I did something to offend THEM; it's almost like they all have some "chip" on their shoulder. I've been to Dallas four times (I got to see Rammstein play last night and I can now die happy since I waited almost 20 years), and love the scenery and food, but I could never live there.

Lol I'm sorry. Couldn't resist saying it, but I apologize if I came off like a dick.

I grew up learning how to drive in Chicago. I imagine it's plenty similar in Dallas. Especially agree with you on the construction part. Every time a street got closed off (every day, different spots), traffic would just get bottlenecked everywhere.

I'm SO glad I got out of there before the Cubs won. My god. Streets were completely taken over that week.
