Before it was ruined, Reddit was a day faster on news than Digg. But Digg looked and felt way better while Reddit was fully current but looked like '96.

Neogaf has been getting a lot of shit lately. Bad moderations and toxic forums mainly. Why anyone ever would post there over GameFAQs is beyond me, seeing as 99% of the traffic is due to this site. Maybe it's time to start pulling GameFAQs guides from there. They were always pretty good with hosting though, so I didn't mind letting them do so.
