it seems to work okay but downstrumming just causes it to go turbo, such as in menus ill just keep going until it reaches the end of the menu. The bar does go back to "neutral" itself, but unless you tap it or move it further it just keeps going turbo. In actual songs it seems to have a different thing where itll strum half the time and just not work others. it doesnt make me auto fail songs because it doesnt go turbo in game mod, but isnt reliable at all. Upstrumming works just fine.

There was no way to test it, and the place doesnt take returns.

My question is, could this be fixed if I took parts from a working wireless guitar and swapped em out? or is the issue worse?

I like the wired guitar so i dont have to calibrate it to my TV, the buttons are clickier and not as worn down, and i feel like the star power mechanism wont fire off all because a realigned my ass in my chair, and instead when I want it to go off.

I mean its 2.99 but I kinda want to salvage this...

You might be able to readjust the strum bar's microswitch and fix it if you've got the requisite Phillips screwdrivers. It's actually a pretty simple fix.

I'm not mocking for.the record, at that price I'd have taken the gamble also.

I don't have any Rock Band 1 wired guitars to take apart, so I don't know whether the mechanism is actually different in the old guitars or if you're just not looking in the right place.
