Not really 'disagreed', but I do wish he'd shown off more stuff about The Adventures of Dr. Franken(SNES) instead of just relegating it to an appetizer role. That game is quite horrible, it perfectly deserved a video of its own. Though the Nerd's description of 'the controls are ass, but it's that weird kind of ass-ness that's hard to explain' really hit the nail IMO.

Bugs Bunny's Crazy Castle might fit what you want more. Only played the first one but dang, it's a simple, fun game. Of course, the actual video was more of a physical comedy video between James, Mike and Kyle so not much was ranted upon, and the endless 'sequel's do get tiring and should have been mentioned.

Lester the Unlikely was the opposite. AVGN was way too tame with it if you ask me(then again, the whole video was bad/rushed. Easily one of the worst of his vids if not THE worst). He only made it to that haunted graveyard level, and there are tons of more **** down the road with that game. Same complaint could be made about Sonic '06, but at least there are tons of people ranting about the latter.

I like the NES Die Hard game. I think it's an interesting concept, though it is flawed. Also that one Addams Family game on SNES.

Oddly enough, the one that stands out in my mind is Godzilla: Monster of Monsters on NES. It's definitely a flawed game, but he was clearly fishing for things to dislike about it. Instead of taking the approach of this part's pretty decent, but this part sucks, he just acted like everything about the game was trash in order to better fulfill that narrative about his childhood being without a single decent Godzilla game.


And there is no fucking way that he walked into the volcano blast three times before he realized that, yes, an option in the background was indeed hurting him.

I don't think I've played any of the games he's reviewed.... unless they were good games like Mario 3.

Die Hard on NES. He made many errors and goofs that just come off as a bit jarring. He also seems to misunderstand why the cartridge cover is what it is.

Lester Unlikely is a hilarious review but he's not giving it the little bit of credit that it kinda deserves by telling the character is forever a gigantic pussy.

He doesn't recognize that the character you're controlling only runs away from an enemy once and after that, he doesn't. He should've tried to play it up to the middle to see that the nerd there actually grows balls and his posture also becomes better after meeting an amazonian girl.

AVGN himself actually later said Friday the 13th was actually a good game. It's just that it was so vague, and games like it didn't exist back then. I think he did a playthrough of it with Mike, and it's quite good.
