there's a few groups

Prideful Republicans - These people have been conservative or Republican for years. As Obama's presidency progressed they grew slightly more unhinged. When Trump came they latched onto him. They probably realize he's garbage, but are too dedicated to their ideals or too stubborn to admit they fucked up.

Lazy Libertarians - Not traditional Republicans, don't typically have an interest in politics outside of a few sources. While not very informed, they get quite emotional and fired up. Since Trump is vague enough about his policies they can attach whatever labels to his blank slate that they want. They don't go back on him because in their minds he's everything they want.

The Deplorables - People who were won over by Trump's ethno-nationalist and nativist rhetoric. They don't like immigrants, fear globalism, and a changing culture. They believe Trump is the ticket to stopping all that so they'll never go against him, because they know the normal GOP doesn't give a shit about them.

The Neckbeards - These are the guys who've been around on the internet a while. The gamergate and redpill types. "Nice guys" or fatties who can't accept that they really have no place in the current order. They see immigration, a changing culture, and feminism as holding them personally back from getting an education, job, girlfriend, or otherwise leading a fulfilling life. so they go with Trump in hopes of tearing it down. They're about 50-50 for serious-trolling, I'd say
