Organic Web is better and doesn't have that "oh no I'm out of webs!" type of contrivance.

Plus it avoids hard hitting questions like "if he's so poor how is he even able to make so much of it" in addition to the age old "why doesn't he patent and sell it to the military and bam, instant non lethal approach for cops to take down criminals, and parker becomes a rich well respected Steve Jobs esque revolutionary who is drowning in money and women genitalia, or men if that's his thing (Tom Holland kinda looks like he swings that way, but that's just the way he looks) and solves all problems he ever has?" question.

Shooters >>>>> organic.

Shooters are an example of his genius, and allow him to have different webbing types.

Organic is just lame in general and doesn't contribute anything to the character.

He can have his organic base abilities AND a contraption that modifies it in some way.

It's not unusual for Spidey to use gadgets as well anyway. He has a few on top of the web shooters. He loves tracking devices.
