Is yours like that? It's ridiculous. I've gone at different times but it doesn't seem to matter. I thought at first it was only because I was going late.

always 6 people in line at every checkstand.... should get more checkers :(.

2 lanes open, often have to wait 20 mins to get out once in line.

I either use the cashiers even if it's a longer wait or swipe a few items if I'm forced to use self serve. You can't up the prices and lower customer service or I'll just fucking rip you off.

My walmart has like 15 stations but I don't think I've ever seen more than 4 open at a time.

most people just use the self-checkout things.

So what, you're not gunna leave. They've got your business by the balls, suck it up and stay in line.

That sounds like every Walmart. Sure they have 30 fucking lines, but they only have a handful of people at the registers.

The atmosphere there is bad, but that wouldn't really matter if the lines weren't so long all the time

Yeah there are long ass lines or no lines at the one near me.

They have a lot of registers only for the holiday season. Rest of the time, only a handful are in use. Same with most grocery stores.

Target and Kroger does the same thing.

What pisses me off is when they only have a few people working the registers but none of the self checkout stations open. If you're not going to bother to actually staff the registers, at least have someone monitoring the self checkout section since that gets you one person for multiple lanes.

The problem is the schedule is generated by Home Office and not the managers at the store. The temperature of the store is also controlled at the Home Office instead of the store itself.

I use self checkout because i'm not useless, so it's not an issue with me.

LEt nothing. While they're dying the manager has their supports running around trying to find anyone they can pull to open up more lines. Usually to the cry of "There's no one on the floor." This is why you don't build a business model around teenage labor.
