I never really got into Metroid, but now seems like a good time to start. Metroid Prime is surprisingly great, even with the shitty Wiimote controls.

I can't name a game that did motion controls better than Metroid Prime Trilogy. It's a huge improvement over the standard controls.

You're starting a little early. I'm guessing Prime 4 is going to be a Holiday 2018 or early 2019 game.

I also plan on playing the other non-Prime titles as well, so I feel like I'm leaving myself a good amount of room.

And delayed to 2020

Hell, it will probably be a dual release on the Switch and the Switch U.

I remember after playing Prime I spent the next year playing every Metroid title I could, I was enthralled. I hope you enjoy it just as much.

I'm loving it, but I hate the part I'm stuck at. I have to do the triple bomb jump to get an upgrade in the lava area. It's so hard.

I mean... you don't HAVE to. In fact, I don't remember any upgrade needing triple bomb jump unless you get them early. If you still want to go for it though, more power to you, sequence breaking is definitely encouraged in Metroid games.

Oh, I'm trying to 100% it. No upgrade left behind.

Just got it, by the way. You actually have to do a triple bomb jump THREE TIMES, and you have to start over if you screw it up once. That was nuts.

Yeah Metroid Prime greatly benefited from the pointer controls.

Pikmin, also!

That was where the strength of the Wii's motion controls really laid in my opinion.

Waggle sucked. Steering could be tricky. But pointer controls? Sooo good.

If you though the motion controls are wonky for the Wii, you should have tried playing it on GameCube >.> not easy at all

Pikmin 3's motion controls were AMAZING.

If you're talking about the Pikmin port on the Wii, though, I'd have to disagree there. Standard controls worked better.
