Nothing about this game looks appealing. Reused UMvC3 assets, downgraded visuals, the actual gameplay is a huge downgrade for being a Marvel entry due to the oversimplification of the game, potential on disc DLC has already been leaked, the UI for an android game, etc etc.

Like halfway through development (3 days into the game) they decided it should be on non mobile devices.

That story mode demo was really bad even from a casual perspective.
- Awful looking cutscene with shallow ass dialogue
- Loading
- 30 second fight
- Loading
- Repeat

I played the demo and it's fucking trash.
-Can't even really practice since all the enemies die in like two combos.
-All the characters seem so fucking generic it's sad.
-It's boring

I played both DBFZ and MVCI and MVCI is the better game. Not by much, but it's better. If you think DBFZ is going to to be some mind blowing revolution you will probably be very disappointed.

I don't think people are expecting something mindblowing. I think they're expecting a game that doesn't have a shit-tier production value.

We only got 6 characters and they were very samey. The MVCI characters are all fairly different visually. I get that it's just art vfx but fighting in DBFZ felt very repetitive. The guy I fought was probably the worst fighting game player in the world as well, while the guy I played in MVCI was really good. Even though I won, I won with like only a half centimeter of life left. The DBFZ guy was a total wash out. All three of my chars were alive with half health.

So my opinion might be confirmation biased, but that's what it is for now.

Well I have the demo of MVC:I on PS4 and it sucks.
I already explained why also.
And no, they aren't different. It's so the same it's sad. Graphics are stupid too.

So you're comparing a casual in DBZ vs a vet in MVC?

Sure they have plenty of time to improve the game. But if they released it as is right now but with just more characters, I think people would probably get bored very quickly. Certain fight sequences play themselves out because they're trying to make the in game fights look exactly like the anime. And they did a fantastic job in that regard but I think the competitive scene will have a lot of issues with it.

For the record. I'm not trying to say MVCI is a good game. I'm just saying that DBFZ is almost certainly not going to replace it the way people have been suggesting it will.
