This only applies to what food it is. Some things it's the exact opposite and its just the way it was meant to be consumed. Also depending on what's cold or hot it really brings out the flavor. A hot slice of pizza has more flavor than a cold slice despite being the same thing

Back in... ohh I dunno 1995 when humans learned fire, they ate it while it was still hot. Years later they had left overs that were cold and said "Peghhh Get this shit off my plate" That's when the Microwave was born.

Savory foods are generally better hot...sweet foods/drinks are generally better cold in my opinion. Cultural thing I guess....
