This thread is kind of baity, but if she isn't working then it's only fair. If the roles are switched, then the man does all the household duties (if only the woman is working).

If both are working, there should be a division of labor.

Also, even if the original condition were true, it doesn't mean you can't ever help out ever. Any couple that looks at chores as a day by day equality thing is bound to get into arguments. Just stop being a bitch.

whatever division of labor a couple agrees to mutually is the appropriate amount.

If one spouse works and the other doesn't, the non-working spouse should definitely want to take care of most of the work around the house. It would be kind of a dick move not to. It doesn't matter which spouse it is.

Let's factor in her going to college at home and having 3 kids to take care of.

How does it make sense for one person to not be working and lounge around all day while the other person works 40hrs/week and is expected to do all the household work or even half of it?

Why should that change things? She should have waited to have kids until after finishing college.

This is the right answer.

Although the spouse who isn't working being responsible for the majority of the household chores seems like a fair arrangement to me.

If she's sitting at home, yes, she should clean up shit around the house and get things done to better both of our lives. Just like if I were sitting home and she was working, then I would keep the house clean and get that stuff done

Equal division of household work, with the man needing to make sure the woman gets time away from the kids every day.

Also, depending on the ages of the kids, they're damn sure doing some of that housework

Also, wtf kind of job does he have that he can support 5 people on one income? Damn, I want that job
