I'm looking for a game with an emphasis on fast driving in a (possibly open world) natural setting.
I don't care much about racing against other cars and I don't like an open world city setting. I'm picturing driving a car/motorbike in like a desert setting towards the sunset or something.

Is there anything like this?

DIRT fits all that except the open world play.

Yeah it's DIRT 4. There isn't much variety for what you're asking for on the PS4. All it has is that, Wipeout Omega, some crappy Need for Speed games, Driveclub, and an upcoming Gran Turismo game that has no definite release date...and they're all race-focused.

The game that best fits this is Forza Horizon 3, but obviously that's not on PS4

The Crew, maybe? That map is huge; I never got far enough into the game to see how the desert/southwest is handled.

The crew, it has dlc for motorcycle and you can drive in the desert. The physics are meh, it handles much like watch dog 1

Really your only options on PS4 are The Crew, NFS 2015, and kinda GTA V.

Forza Horizon 3 is basically exactly what you want but it's only on Xbox and PC.
