The Elite 4 was hard. And Psychic did a special defense drop twice against Espeon

And legitimately the only reason I beat Cynthia is because Ice Fang froze Garchomp, which gave me a chance to re set up Gyarados after Luxray had killed Togekiss and after 6 Dragon Dances it was gonna be over.

That said.... Milotic is so fucking strong, that it survived a Plus 6 STAB Waterfall from a Gyarados that was the same level as it....

So that ones in the books. I can't see any main line Pokémon game being harder to Nuzlocke, or even in the same stratosphere.

Yeah plat is amazingly hard. I've gotten some INCREDIBLY overpowered pokemon (like a huge power hitmonchan) in my randomized runs that bit the dust fairly quickly.

58 Luxray Shockwave, Bite, Thunderfang, strength (this guy existed 100% for Cyrus's Earthquake Gyarados... with the exception of finishing off Togekiss, I don't think he had one other battle in the whole game after Cyrus went down)
60 Gyarados Surf, waterfall, dragon dance, ice fang (swept a ton of Elite 4 with multiple Dragon dances and watefalls)
56 Garchomp. Crunch, Dragonclaw, rock climb (I think, it was some HM) Earthquake (Stab EQ on an uber is an absolute monster...)
55 Roserade. Toxic spikes, Petal Dance, Giga Drain, and leech seed.
Abomisnow 55. He had Blizzard. That was all that mattered. He existed only to OHKO Garchomp with Stab non Miss 4 times effective Blizzard to Garchomp. Icicle Shard, Wood Hammer. Some HM.
I brought a 43 Tentacruel as well. No idea what any of his moves were except Poison barb.... Sacrificial lamb.

Why did I bring Tentacruel you ask instead of what was good that I had?


Because my poor Infernape was killed on the second to last trainer of the Victory Road by a crit... :(

He was 54 at the time. Had Mach Punch, Flame thrower flame wheel, and Close Combat.

Instead of training someone up (had no other fighter type except a level 6 Machop, and no other Fire except like a 27 Ponyta...) I just went with the remainder of my team.

I think it's generally accepted that grinding above the gym leaders or champions is not allowed. It's not one of the primary rules, though.
