Make one of those charts where you have an x column and a y column and figure out the values of y from x =-5 to 5 and then plot those coordinates

I know this is probably a joke topic but I felt like typing this out, as I might be teaching an IRL friend who hasn't done math in almost 10 years this shit. He wants to go to plumbing trade school but didn't pass algebra 2 in HS, so he has to take some remedial shit at the community college instead. He wants to place into the right class.

You really only need two but yeah, you can do all that

Better yet use fooplot or symbolab or something

I think it's important to do a bit of this by hand for super newbies

Yeah I agree, it is

But TC's account from 2003. He's at least 27

He probably knows how to and is just trolling, hence post 2

3 = rise over run, so for every unit change in x, you have 3 times the unit change in y. 4 is the y intercept.

So, you have one, (0,4) and you can choose whatever value for x you want for another point. Easiest is x=1, so the next point is (1,7). Connect the dots and keep the line straight.

Yes, I know this is a joke topic.

When x=0, y=4 (a.k.a. the y-intercept)
When x=1, y=7.
Draw a line through the two points.
