The last two or three weeks, my internet has constantly been in and out. Like, I'll go on YouTube to watch a video, make it about halfway through, and then it stops because it can't buffer the rest cause the service suddenly decided to drop. Then I'll check my phone to see if it will load anything, and 9 times out of 10 it isn't loading anything either. Sometimes the drop will last 20 seconds, sometimes it will last 30 minutes. Within the last few days, my PS4 will start frequently disconnecting from online games (I'm usually playing TLoU and it SUCKS to be winning a hard match as the best player on your team before it suddenly kicks you out). So, obviously, time to call the ISP (Frontier Communications). Pretty sure something is wrong with my router so let's see what they say.

I call the ISP, and they say, "We can only guarantee internet. We can't guarantee a wi-fi signal." That's the only answer the lady on the phone was willing to give over the phone.

Well, I completely understand that things can interfere with a signal, but when it was fine a few weeks ago and nothing has been introduced to my house that would suddenly interfere this badly with a signal, I'm pretty sure that it's not normal interference. Tonight I'm gonna try to see if I have any issue plugging straight into the router with my computer, maybe that will tell me if I really have an issue with the device.

Frontier gets a lot of shit for bad customer service apparently. Hopefully if I call again they can just agree to replace my router. Or hopefully whatever is causing the issue just goes away. Idk. I don't want to sit on the phone again just to get the same answer but I also want my internet to work.

Bad internet during the start of summer really sucks :/

EDIT: Can this be called blogFAQs? This seems kinda short compared to other blogFAQs I usually see. Also it's not as sad as they usually are. I'm gonna call it blogFAQs anyway.

Can't you just buy your own router?

You're probably paying out the ass in monthly fees

I mean, maybe. I was thinking the same thing but I'm not the one who owns everything. I just graduated high school so I still live with my parents. Up to them what to do and my mom wants Frontier to check what's up.

If it were up to me, I probably would see about getting a different router on my own but yeah, not my call.
