Current Events > Ok I need advice (dealing with sexist, racist friend)

Ok there's this guy, let's call him jack. I always suspected jack to be a bad guy (a feeling I had, no basis at all so I just ignored my gut feeling)

Except one day, on a festival, he does something bad to a woman. Something he shouldn't have done. In fact, if the police had caught him, he'd have spent the night in jail and paid a hefty fine. Everyone in my group who saw him do that condemned it. But he was a friend so nobody told. Besides, what he did was temporary, right?

A note before proceeding, let's assume jack is race A and I am race B.

Fast forward to yesterday. We were watching our friends (all of whom are race A) playing basketball. A friend then scored. So jack says, "[Friend], just think the court is a race B girl and bang it." (in our language, the slang for sex and score is the same). He then remembers I'm next to him and says to me, "Right [my name]?"

I got super pissed, not only due to his vulgar comment but also due to other circumstances (basically let's say that race A has a reputation for marrying race B girls simply for property, the city I'm at belongs to race B and we're wealthier than race A, a lot like the refugee situation in Europe. In fact, we're outnumbered in our own home, wealthiest city in our country.)

But I did or said nothing. I have anger issues and I'm sure that if I did something, I'd end up expelled and he'd have broken bones.

How should I have reacted? Saddest thing is, he is friends with race B women and they have no idea who he really is. Fucking two faced asshole

Anyways, just tell him to knock off the racist/sexist jokes. It's not funny and it makes him look like an asshole. Otherwise, tolerate him for the sake of your other friends, or leave the group.

I could write about this but it would be complicated and long. But know that race A is genuinely not a good race, as much as I hate to say something like that. It comes from personal experience too. My aunt has married and divorced a race A guy. My family built that asshole a house
