20% CPU usage just idle and 50% disk usage when I'm downloading quake champions. I barely meet minimum requirements for this game, I'm afraid the overhead of the launcher will make it too slow. why ain't this just on steam

Well, it should be using a fair amount of disk if you're downloading at a decent rate. Maybe not that much though. That CPU usage is for sure insane though.
