If a man in his 30s can justify wearing a pony hoodie that isnt even in his size because they only make childrens sizes out in public, he can justify anything.

I think you're confusing that person with a man with no shame.

Which other 2 are you saying that about? I assume Hey Arnold is one of the 3. I agree with, but moreso because I think 4 (well 3.5) of them don't qualify.

You mean not some trash witless sitcom cartoon? All of the shows there can be enjoyed by an older person.

Dood, if the cartoon can't show blood, but has a lot of violence, it's a kid's show or at least PG-13, at best.

Hey Armold, Samurai Jack and X-Men. X-Men was clearly designed as a Saturday morning cartoon, and despite doing a great job of the souce material, but it was still predominately for kids. Samurai Jack admitedly have the more adult focused final season, but it was still pretty clearly not targetted at adults.

Except they aren't part of the genre. Adult Animation is a genre, not a show that an adult can watch. You and I both know the TC was talking about the genre.

Yes sure technically they were geared towards a younger audience, and yet imo are perfectly fine recommendations to an adult. Hey Arnold for example is legions better in both style and writing than the sad wet fart that is The Simpsons.

You're welcome to your opinion, but I don't think it qualifies as something an adult would look at and think "damn, this is an adult cartoon." Hell, I think the Amazing World of Gumball fits that model better.

As I pointed out though, they don't fitt the definition the TC provided. They are the wrong genre.

TC never imposed some strict rules. Someone listed an anime and you're not invading his rectum about it.

Anime has more of a case than Hey Arnold and Samurai Jack before the last season. Legitimately, the last season does qualify as an adult cartoon, but the majority of it definitely does not.

Shit, X-Men has a better case than both of those.

Because I didn't see it and probably wasn't familiar with the show anyway.

Seriously though, it wasn't 'recommend an adult some animation" it was 'what are the best adult animation shows'. You were wrong, just admit and top pushing this asinine "kids shows count as adult animation because I said so" schtick.

What can I say, fuck the system. Even if they don't count its still a better list than most braindead "googled best adult cartoons" posts ITT.

No, I realize where I fucked up.

There's no Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law.

Sealab 2021 suffered from something out of their control, the death of Harry Goz, voice actor for Cap'n Murphy.

Also, I put Sealab in my honorable mentions.
