It's actually a well-made video with some nice jokes and it generates some legitimate sympathy for the main character. I feel like this may have struck a nerve with some 4chins, however, and they're downvoting it en masse. I don't like Buzzfeed that much, but it's not that bad.

That doesn't make it well made. Seemed as if a short story in this format was supposed to paint a picture and provoke certain ideas, and I think this video did so rather poorly. I personally didn't feel much because of how exaggerated it was and how far reaching it felt. If the hate stems from a group of people feeling misrepresented, then I definitely think they are justified.

I personally felt that it humanized that group a lot more, to show that they don't hate without reason. Obviously every story is not going to be this one verbatim, but I can definitely see this sort of story happening with a lot of people.

But seriously, this deems like it's a video shitting on young men with autism or other muted ability to identify social cues and manage interactions.

Maybe their intent was "HA HA, 4chan trolls are mad because they can't get women", but it comes across as "Look how pathetic this autistic guy is, he can't understand social interactions well enough to get a girlfriend or hold down a job. Let's feel comfort in the fact that he'll always be miserable."
