People didn't want to dislike Batman v Superman. I'd even go so far as to argue that you're not a real comic book fan if you want the movie to be bad. Bad comic book movies are bad for the genre as a whole, including Marvel.

I'm ecstatic for Wonder Woman's positive reviews, not only because it gives WB a better idea of what direction to take their universe but because it pushes both companies to continue upping the quality.

Dawn of The Dead was good. Thats a movie he made with a good script written by James Gunn

Snyder is like M Night Shamylan: he's a good director who thinks far too highly of himself. Just because you can direct doesn't mean you can write... his best work is when he's had zero input on the script.

I was happy to see Batman v Superman fail. I say that not as a comic fan, but as a fan of Superman and as someone who is pretty much over "The Dark Knight" and the whole grimdark formula. I'm glad that the two darker entries in the DCCU were panned and the brighter one has been viewed favorably. Now let's watch them mess that up by having an ultra divided Justice League where they're all a bunch of brooding dicks to one another for no reason.

They're still not gonna learn their lesson because they still think The Killing Joke and The Dark Knight are hot shit. For every trend whose time has come and gone, there's always gonna be that person who still feels it should keep going. I'm sure there were people in the 90s who felt Hollywood should have still been making slasher movies without the type of self-awareness brought about in the Scream franchise. That's what I see when I see the whole grimdark fascination from DC. They're promising that the 27th slasher film to hit theaters is gonna have the bloodiest body count yet and we'll all be just as surprised as when we saw the first one.

When it comes to maintaining the whole dark and edgy formula, they need to take some advice from Marvel's parent company Disney and just Let It Go.

Say what you will. There making movies while your sitting at home moaning about them.

Hate and nitpicking makes money. Rarely do good reviews get noticed.

Yeah, I think I could write a better screenplay that a lot of these films have had. I don't think I've exactly been granted that opportunity though.

Snyder is fine when he's doing a direct adaptation of a graphic novel. He does a good job of translating imagery from them to the big screen.

But I don't like this interpretation of the DC universe at all.

Wonder woman had the tumblrina thing going for it. Had it starred a male character it'd still have gotten hate

Agreed. They're easy to spot-- the ones who scream about Marvel paying off critics. According to that logic, either Warner was too stupid or too cheap to pay off critics previously. I guess now they've learned their lesson and started paying off critics for Wonder Woman?
