Clear as mud, more like. Okay, let's work through this. Say we did in fact take action on a user's account because somebody who is apparently them is posting information on another website. Is that the user? Someone spoofing the user, hoping to get them banned here? What is it? We need tangible evidence on this site that a user is doing something. Someone using a Reddit account - because those are obviously immutable and can easily be traced by us - is not good enough, and sets a bad precedent. To use your sarcastic and snippy response, we are janitors of one website, not several.

For the record, I never saw this post that was posted on that subreddit, in case there's any confusion about it.

Like I said this isn't a court of law. You don't need shit. All your dumb examples don't matter, and anyone who looks at this objectively can see what is actually happening.

But continue being a janitor for a dying website beholden to the TOS like it's a goddamn constitution. Just waiting on that evidence, can't set them precedents amirite? What would the public say? They'd lose faith in the system right?

This all started here. This affects people here. I'm not trying to change your opinion, I know, by your responses that won't happen. I just want you to know that from a business standpoint, this is a pathetic response to the issue, and that all you and your ilk are, by responding to the issue this way, are a bunch of glorified volunteer janitors. Even Mr head janitor Bacon himself.

There is no way we can tell what user actually posted that on reddit. We are not the Internet police so we can't go suspend a user on GameFAQs for a post made on reddit that we 'think' a specific user did it. We seriously have no way to directly link the actions on reddit to any user on GameFAQs, and can't just suspend someone because we believe they are the most likely to have posted something like this off site.

@TheKingOf-Kings Yeah we all know it's hoth and it's fucked up but cool your tits. The mods are being completely reasonable here. They can't go around banning or taking action in general against someone when they don't actually have any hard proof they actually did something. That would be far too easy to abuse by setting a precedent like that.

If you want us to help the situation, mark posts that violate the ToS, so a moderator knows that they're there. Complaining that we don't do anything while simultaneously not marking posts helps no one.

Proof and precedents.... this isn't a court of law this is a dying forum. The empirical evidence and past actions should be more than enough, but no, gotta tow that line. I wonder if it makes them feel all good and moral inside.
