Just as it sounds like. 2020 will be the final year that games and game consoles will be released. Anything that is not released by December 31st, 2020 will be forever cancelled, including new DLC, new game patches, and new microtransactions; from this point on, it will be illegal for any new video games to be produced. Additionally, no more physical copies of games will be produced after that date, though online and digital systems will remain in place.

I wouldn't really mind. There are enough games in my backlog to last a few lifetimes anyway.
