His understanding of sex and gender is wrong. Pre, post or non op transgender people are the gender and sex they claim. Especially if they're on hormones.

As I understand it:

Gender = projected sex
Sex = biological sex

Someone's gender could be female, but their sex could be male because they are pre-op. Is this not correct?

That's not right.

It's slightly dated. Especially the "projected sex" bit as gender portrayal has no rules, as shown by the fact you can have cis or trans butch women and super femme cis or trans men. Sex is an amalgation of many factors but the biggest thing is hormones. However, there's almost certainly a function linking it to the brain which is why trans people can experience body dysphoria and describe it like "phantom limb syndrome" in how they can feel parts that aren't presently there.

So she's a girl everywhere on her body except one little piece of her being a penis, and that's a deal breaker? Sounds like a personal problem.

To be fair, I would say that equipment (penis or vagina) does play a role in sexuality. Apologies to get this personal, but I am VERY turned on by the anatomy of a female.

Sapphic fetish? Because not all women have the same anatomy, downstairs or upstairs or anywhere. Dozens of body shapes and sizes.

No just like not wanting to date a white person will not make you a racist

Depends on the reason. I won't call people saying they only date x race are racists,but once they start giving me their reasons why, I find that the reasons usually lean towards stereotypes

I don't know what "cis" is supposed to mean, honestly.

I will agree that biological sex is cumulative. However, I don't know that I agree that the biggest role is hormones.

I'm not sure we are addressing the same points because there is no explanation for what I referenced as being dated.

Cis is the opposite of trans. So basically, you are comfortable with the gender and body you have been assigned at birth.

Wouldn't it be a fetish if there was a particular shape, size, etc. of a woman's anatomy? I don't think the instance I described is a fetish at all, as it just plays a role in sexuality. The anatomy of a woman plays a role in sexual attraction. Period.

But when you word it like that, it's coming off as though you're excluding any woman with a penis.

As for your question regarding the specificity, remember that people can have breast fetishes and enjoy a wide or small range of what types of breasts do it for them.

I know you are a troll and all, but this is bullshit.

No one is assigned a gender. All that happens is, that the baby is checked for genitals, either it is a boy, or a girl. This is a binary, there are no in betweens. You either have a penis, or a vagina. This is dictated by your chromosones (which also influence your hormones).

Wow this topic took off a bit...

I stand by my answer.

Born a man, your sex will always be male. You can change your gender, but not your biological sex.
Same things for females.

As far as your argument that people on hormone therapy are for all purposes whatever gender they say they are. How do you explain trans-women absolutely wrecking female records in various athletic competitions?

I got an explanation for you, still biologically a man, even if feel PART of that biology has changed.

@gunplagirl
I'm all ears...
If you can explain to me why trans-women seem to have an advantage athletically against females that actually makes sense, my opinion might change on this subject.

But if you cannot explain why that is, then I stand by what I originally said.
