If it were a thousand, literally hundreds if not thousands would purposely bomb interviews, and if they get the job, would quit and go for more interviews.

This isn't your first whiny topic about job interviews. Are you having really bad luck finding a job or is this a weird gimmick? I'm assuming it's a first job or something because of the learned in a day comment which makes me assume you're applying for min wage jobs.

If you've applied to that many jobs and haven't gotten hired yet, then the problem is you. If they liked you enough then they would've hired you even if you didn't have enough experience and trained you. So fix your attitude and work on your resume some more

This would clean up the practice of having pointless interviews when the position is filled, but the fee is way too high. On top of that, EOC regulations have it so you have to at least interview different demographics.
