if anything, lowering the cap would help these super teams because players take pay cuts to go on stacked teams. There would be no incentive to go on a non-stacked team if it wasn't for a huge payout That makes no sense. So they well take a pay cut to go on a super team, but wont take less money? --- Whoever beats my score I will give them a $10 PSN or Live card: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpiorAx40GY ... The two superteams don't make the most money. If you lowered the cap, the others teams would have a harder time buying a team to beat the Cavs or the Warriors, because the players on those teams took pay cuts/aren't being paid their real value Guys like Curry make money on sponsors anyway. The more you take money out of the equation, the less the Warriors can be stopped ... Copied to Clipboard!

the elite players are underpaid as is due to contract restrictions, while the "tier 2" players are overpaid. lowering the cap only helps owners short term. hyperpowder posted...
the point is, a tier 2 player can take a max contract now and not win a title. Earning 15-20 mil/year. Take Joakim Noah. 72 million over 4 years. That's an amount of money worth being a perenial loser. Now with a lower cap say he had to choose between 2 mil with the cavs or 5 mil with the knicks. is 3 mil worth losing for? 70 mil sure is. --- If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all ... The NBA playoffs rarely have many upsets, this year is just particularly boring. Hopefully Lebron can make the finals interesting & bring another championship to Cleveland.
I want to see Draymond lose because he's the dirtiest player in the league aka the chronic nut kicker, and Durant doesn't deserve to win by going to a team that won 73 games without him. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Miami was middle of the pack in the playoffs before LeBron and Bosh got there to turn them into a #1 seed, and James didn't leave his team to join the team that had just beat him. Durant on the other hand just got beat by the Warriors, and the Warriors were already a record-setting best #1 seed of all time when he decided to join them. Basketball is a sport where
- Better teams win a large majority of their games. Compare to baseball where even the best teams post .600 winning percentages. - Individual players have a significant impact on their teams' quality I don't think there's a real solution to its parity woes; you can't divide Lebron into two and spread his talent across multiple teams. Any team with Lebron on it is going to be one of the league's best. Same is true with a select few other players. you can make lebron paid 2x what the rest make, Again, MJ made 33 million. the average team salary was 31 mil that year. Teams couldn't afford to do what the CBA allows now.Antifar posted...
4 =/= 1. and the NFC brought Ryan, Cam, Wilson, rodgers, Kaep, Warner, Eli, Grossman, delhomme, Rodgers, and Hasselback in that same time. The east has been stagnant since Lebron, the West has now become equally as stagnant. And when the Celtics or Bulls could at least win a game or two, we now are looking at 3 sweeps on both sides.
