I already used my free trial, but I didn't have a chance to look at the video and music selection and I'm wondering if it's worth subscribing for these services.

Also, can Amazon prime videos be viewed on Smart TVs using a web browser? Or is it mainly just PC, tablet, and phone?

better off using hulu or netflix (preferences vary).

Thanks. I don't buy often from Amazon so I was trying to justify the price through other benefits, but I guess it wouldn't be worth it to me.

I just pay the $99 annual fee instead of monthly for the free priority shipping. The movie selections have gotten better, if not surpassing Netflix since they're just interested in phasing out everything for original programs.

The selection is lacking with about only 2 million songs on Prime and a really neutered TV/Movie selection for video but I already have prime for the shipping so it's more of an extra.

The Kindle Lender's Library is pretty good, though.

I use the music a lot and they have a great selection. Like they don't have everything, but there's usually a couple full albums for any band I look up.

Prime Video is good and they have a bunch of good exclusive series on there, like The Grand Tour!

Prime video is pretty much Netflix without Netflix original content.

Prime music is worse than Spotify, Apple, or Google music.

Prime also includes a lot of free ebooks as well.

Prime also brings a 20% discount on most new games up to 2 weeks after release so you can still wait for reviews. Or preorder for release day delivery.

And you'll likely find yourself doing more shopping on Amazon as 2 day shipping + great customer service is a great reason to use them. They're often the cheapest as well.

If you have Netflix and Hulu then I can't see a single reason to add Prime. There's just nothing there. You can add a movie channel if you pay extra, but honestly it's probably cheaper to just rent the movies you're interested in.

Do people actually use Hulu? 0_o

I have Prime because it gets me super fast shipping and discounts on new games. I've saved over $500 on shipping things in the past 6 months.

I tried the Amazon Prime Music for the free trial month and wasn't impressed.
