Should I have said, "try to be an idiot"?

Point being, it was said before idiotic behavior or conclusions occured.

I think it's solid advice and everyone should not just 'try' not to be an idiot, but simply don't be an idiot. Trying implicates probable failure, and self doubt.

Why is it this so bad? To check ourselves when circumstances could easily allow us to slip, or to warn others to be smart in not so obvious situations. Is 'idiot' just as offensive as 'retarded' now? Should it not be used to describe foolishness?

Maybe it's time for society to stop reinforcing sensitivity by disabling half of our active vocabulary. When I say don't be idiots, it's because I care about you and if there's a better way I'm going to lead the way.

If it can be considered flaming in any context, the mods can beat you with their mod stick.

They don't care.

Well I do.

Part of interacting with people effectively is by allowing open context for the other to be aware of the context, so they can check themselves and with the ball in their court hold themselves accountable and make their own choices by adjusting their own allowances.

By openly denying parts of context I am in appearance and effect agreeing with the opposite which misrepresents my own stance by forming a predictive judgement on the other. Yet, I am not judging the other by allowing them accountability. I am liberating them from the context of judgement by allowing it to exist but not be a part of our focus. Which puts us in a position of freedom from the socially imposed negative connotation that is a cancer in regard to conciousness and logic and life in general.

Just say "stop shitposting". Doesn't count as flaming and gets the same message across.

I mean, part of the allowance of context gives the others freedom and choice. To step up to something better, or strap the shoe on if it fits.

The mods preventing the moment that helps people grow as individuals by saying it's offensive is a crime against nature. When I'm on offense, and I pass you the ball, we are on a team.

Can anyone see after reading my post how 'offensive' on gamefaqs has a predecided negative connotation?

That's what I'm talking about.

As it stands today, gamefaqs has no game, they put everyone on defense.

The thing is, that team defense will never score a point ever. It's not about being hopeless to be destined to lose, it's that we can't be team defense forever and expect any level of worth or progress.

Being offensive needs some level of worth that people value in equal regard to defense. We wouldn't mod people for being defensive, so why would we moderate for being offensive?

Moderate for being inappropriate. How bout that?

Appeal it by saying that idiot literally means someone who doesn't vote, if you can get away with saying jackass because it literally means donkey I don't see why it wouldn't work.
