Dammit, Aigis got so good as a character, but way too late. I couldn't finish her S-Link without sacrificing the last few ranks of like 3 others, so screw it. :( Thanks youtube! And thanks to this "The Answer" thing. Looks like Aigis is the main character? Haven't played more than a few minutes of it.

I still don't really... "get" the Velvet Room. Who "owned" the contract, what was it for, how did they know I would only live for a year? It feels like there's an implied 3rd party behind the whole Velvet Room deal, aside from Igor, Elizabeth, and... I guess Pharos was involved with the Velvet Room. Somehow.

Also, how the hell did Junpei survive that whole game? Thought for sure we'd lose him. They even shot him! (By the way, fucking brilliant move from Takaya to bring a real gun alongside the fake ones everyone uses. Was wondering when someone would think of that.)

You're over thinking it. You're not getting it because there's nothing to get. I'd say it's style over substance, but it's probably more accurate to say style is the substance.

actually Im pretty sure the whole velvet room dealio is implied to have something to do with philemon, the guy who gives you personas in the first game, its why the whole butterfly thing is in every persona game

EDIT yeah I double checked, the blue butterfly is philemon, and the denzitens of the velvet room are his servants

they really arent, you could play 3,4 and 5 and not hear the name philemon once, there realy isnt much to him other than he gives you personas and the velvet room to save humanity in every game. he's more context for the series than an actual character these days

oh my bad 1 and 2 are actually connected and characters from 3 make meaningless cameos in 4 but thats technically connected right?

yea for some reason they (developers) acted like 1 and 2 didn't exist and in the process scrapped one of the biggest characters in the series (Philemon, behind personas and velvet room)

I understand they want to respect the other developers work but to just completely cut him out was odd and they never stated the exact reason

Instead we got a BS "After Eternal Punishment Philemon's powers are so weak he becomes the butterfly you see in P3 and P4." Only to have the butterfly change in P5 lol........
