it was ok, but honestly the most fun parts of the game were when you were in those challenge rooms without the water jetpack. the jetpack was a cute gimmick for fighting some enemies and bosses but i overall did not care for it

I thought it was great. Just as good, if not better, than Galaxy 1 and Galaxy 2. Super Mario 64 is still the height of Mario gaming, though, and I hope we get something similar with Super Mario Oddysey.

I liked the old school levels where you had to just jump, no fluud. Except that one level where the Pianta's had to throw you from platform to platform, that level was evil.

Loved the game, I still feel like it's a heavily padded game though. There are just too few levels and the blue coins are the worst thing ever invented.

I wish they had continued in the spirit of SM64 and Sunshine.

Sunshine was good because it had more modern controls and graphics than 64

Galaxy was alright, but it was too linear and everything always felt the 'same'. I didn't want or need Mario in space.

I think that has the best Mario overworld/hub world ever. I probably spent more time messing around in the island than I did in the actual levels. Just so much to do and all the little easter eggs and hidden sprites were fun.

I loved it when I was younger and never understood all the backlash when I started seeing other people's opinions a few years later.

The castle was kind of boring. It got the job done, but it was nothing special.

I liked it, but I also really got the feeling like the level designers weren't told the hover nozzle would be in the game, and as a result designed these really cool levels and platforming segments that end up never even being seen because you just hover over everything
