I hate deserts in general and I hate elves even more. Theres no quicker way to disinterest me to something than to make stupid elves and their spirit communing, crystal rubbing societies the centerpiece of it.
So whatever area is not those. I still believe that Skyrim was the gargantuanly popular game that it was, was because of the setting. The look of it. You didn't have to pick that race of course but, you're a badass viking dude that slays dragons in this awesome looking wintery world. Idk. The way it was advertised was almost Halo-ish. You play a badass in this this badass world doing badass things. That was basically the marketing and it paid off. I really don't think focusing on the cat race or elves or some swampy or desert setting illicits that same coolness. --- FFVII Remake: A disaster in the making.
