I thought Toriyama had nothing to do with GT?

Problems with GT aside, lol at pretending like Super Saiyan 4 didn't look cool af and that there weren't plenty of cool designs in that series. Certainly cooler than Super.

Super Saiyan 4's main problem was that it's called Super Saiyan 4. Should have gone with something else since it's so radically different from the previous Super Saiyans.

The best thing about GT is that Super came out and deemed it non-canon. I've never even watched Super, yet it's already my favorite series simply for delegitimizing the garbage that is GT

Its vague and unclear whether Blue is stronger than 4. In the Xenoverse games, SS4 Gogeta is a tier below Super Saiyan Blue.

I have watched a few scenes and all of Omega Shenron or whatever's attacks were like these stupid little balls.

At least Super has gotten pretty good at having powerful flashy attacks. Not quite to the extent of the original but the battles tend to be quicker and less drawn out and thus you don't get five minute chargings for a kamehameha that destroy several mountains and cause a thunderstorm and I think it's a better balance. Sacrifice a little bit of the spectacle for a snappier pace.

I for one thought the Shadow Dragin saga was brilliant in that It showed that using the dragonballs has actual consequences and that it erased the "instantly fix everything at the end button" aspect to them

Beerus arc is pretty mediocre. The Freiza arc is shit. It gets overall much better after that.

Super is definitely worse than any of the Z arcs, I don't think anyone's going to argue against that. I enjoyed Buu saga, though. Would have enjoyed it more if Gohan did something.

GT was boring as fuck, the fights were so horrible, it was just throwing ki blasts the entire time. The worst fights in Super are more flashy and entertaining then just about anything in GT not involving baby, nova and ice shenron or bits and pieces of omega

It's just a point of feeling like a real fan by dissing GT that much. I didn't like it, but I certainly don't have this high level of hatred the internet has for it. Though I kind of got bored and stopped midway through the Baby arc anyway.


Point being that if people think GT is such a travesty, there's no way they can be consistent without tearing Super apart since that's as bad or worse.

The Freeza arc won't change your mind, it's shit. Watch the movie and be done with it. It gets infinitely better after that arc though.

I have no problem with the eyes and I think Super Saiyan 4 is the single cool design in GT besides some of the villains, bringing back the Oozaru form and incorporating it into the SS was dope

what I hate about the GT artitst's style is how he drew faces with these GIANT chins and drew mouth really close to the nose, looks awful and he got worse as the show went on

Motherfucker I can talk to for hours giving you reasons Dragon Ball GT sucks, pickachu is absolutely right the fight scenes have no impact because they're poorly animated and have no choreography

take off the nostalgia glasses and actually GO WATCH Omega Shenron vs Gogeta and describe the first 5 moves they do. It's a series of headbutts with no animation or camera changes, one looney toons-esque missed tackle, and a slow elbow to the face and in between each move Shenron slowly winces in pain and slows down the fight

even the clips 3khc posted are on the level of the average fight in Super; nothing there compares to DB/DBZ (especially after the Kai edit)





there's a reason people remember Namek fights like Vegeta vs Recoome (when Vegy gets his head smashed into the dirt and he still blasts Recoome in the face when he's pulled out) and no one remembers...general rildo

No. I don't. The English dub of GT came out over half a decade ago and plenty of people have nostalgic memories of watching it late at night when they were younger.

People don't hate GT for unfair reasons, It is an undeniably lower quality show compared to Dragon Ball and DBZ. You're okay to like it but don't pretend like people don't have their reasons for trashing it.
