I dunno, double-size in a place like this means he practically just has to lean over to be pushing into his enemies against the wall or floor. Leon may get some shots off before Brock's on him, but he frequently goes to the knife rather than even the handgun when in close-quarters combat (like with Ada, Krauser, or when El Gigante grabs him), which may be better for self-preservation, but less handy for taking care of the high-priority targets behind Brock before they take action. Sabin needs to deal with Brock just because physically, any one else is just gonna be pinned down even if they kill him on top of them. Crono's at risk approaching Flynn for melee or trying to engage in a cast-off against three very-magic-resistant, more-accomplished mages. If healing to sustain Brock, bravecast black magic nukes, or almighty element plasma start flying before Leon's completely free of Brock, the numbers start to run away with it.
