For hook ups, religion is irrelevant. For dating, it's like I said: if a girl is religious and finds that important, I won't go out with her since that's not what she's looking for. But if a girl is just culturally Jewish and we have the same values she's looking for anyway, I don't see any deception. Most of the girls I've ever discussed this with aren't hard set on marrying a Jewish guy, and I doubt most of them would care after 3-4 dates if I said I wasn't.
