The two manage to admit that they're actually friends, and manage to befriend Topaz in the process, who manages to get them inches away from freedom before Aquamarine smashes the escape pod and threatens Topaz with death. They finally land at Yellow's castle (?) and Steven and Lars are separated as Steven's trial for his execution begins.
