84 gallons were leaked in April, which admittedly isn't significant, it's just a sign of what's to come.
Shit the thing isn't even fully operational yet and it's already having minor oil leaks.

Can't wait until Trumpanzees finally act like they care about the environment when an inevitable major spill occurs.

Don't be silly, a little environmental damage is worth the dozens of jobs created by the pipeline.

Gives hundreds of jobs*!
*Doesn't actually give that many permanent jobs. Actually takes away many trucking jobs.

This is the big reason i hate Trump in general. I hate politics but the only policy I care about is preserving the environment. He shits all over that >.>

Honestly, this doesn't sound like a huge deal at all. It was two barrels' worth of oil in an entire month, and the spill was 100% contained.

Go spill 2 barrels worth of oil in your front yard, and come back and say it isn't a big deal.

Don't act like if Trump wasn't president this wouldn't still have happened.

To put it into perspective, the pipeline transports about 450K barrels of oil per day. That means it leaked 2 out of 13.5 million barrels a month.

I do not really like this defense of "Oh it's only a small amount compared to how much it normally transports", because that's not really the important detail. Plus it shouldn't really matter how much got leak if it's doing damage.

It being contained is the far more important aspect of this leak and why this thing is a not really an issue. Not the amount.

It is. How do you think fuel gets from the ground to your car so you can live your super convenient and luxurious lifestyle built entirely around an infrastructure to produce and transport cheap energy.

Because pipelines are gonna leak. There is nothing 100% full proof. Considering this was next to nothing it seems they are doing a good job so far.

Okay, but that still doesn't mean the size of the leak is a big deal. It was contained and no harm was done should be the important part.

That totally makes this ok. Stop deflecting. What those idiots did was stupid. This is the reality now though. "You left garbage which means you didn't care so you can't complain about this!"...stop playing those dumb games and please focus on the actual issue.
