This is what keeps you up at night? So you aren't bothered that this could potentially put 99% of biological women in women's athletic events at a distinct disadvantage? --- Smash DS Code: 4554-0120-5368 SB4 Name: Roz RIP: Orlando of the Axe Karma: 1642 --he delivered! ... Copied to Clipboard!

No, I'm not concerned about this ridiculously unlikely and silly possibility. So the trans MMA fighter and the trans weight lifter that having been demolishing the competition are "ridiculously unlikely and silly?" Or the fact that regulations have actually been LOWERED for M>F trans to compete in female athletics? This is all very unlikely and a silly concern? --- Smash DS Code: 4554-0120-5368 SB4 Name: Roz RIP: Orlando of the Axe Karma: 1642 --he delivered! ... Copied to Clipboard!

Neither of which constitutes what TC is saying and is along the same lines as:
"What's preventing men pretending to be transgendered from sexually assaulting women in the women's bathroom?!" It's emotional rhetoric that stems from other places. In this case, it's "carefully crafted" to appeal to the other side. Otherwise known as concern trolling. --- =E[(x-E[x])(y-E[y])] ... Copied to Clipboard!

Nobody cares if the men are 'pretending' or not purposely to gain an advantage.
They shouldn't be allowed in women's sports, PERIOD, regardless of intentions. And it IS happening. There aren't a ton of cases to show, because there aren't a ton of athletic transgenders. --- This is my signature. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I mean, in all honesty, I don't think transgendered people should enter competitions, but it's really so low down on the totem poll of LGBT issues, you'll find that the only people who give a shit are conservatives who are either 'outraged' or concern trolling.

No it's not, it's a genuine concern and there is already proof of it heading this direction.
M-F trans regulations to compete in female sports have been LOWERED... And we already have examples of this kind of thing happening. How are you so thick headed and blind that you cannot see this? By the way, I lean WAY left most of the time on social issues, but this is a big deal. --- Smash DS Code: 4554-0120-5368 SB4 Name: Roz RIP: Orlando of the Axe Karma: 1642 --he delivered! ... They have two reasonable options, the first being to ban transgenders from professional sports, as they have broken the rules on using hormones to alter their body, and have records of doing so. The other, simpler option, is to recognize that these sports are not separated based on how the athletes see themselves, but on their biological sex. In either option, transgender individuals are given no special treatment, they follow the rules, or stop competing. You don't just break the rules them demand to be allowed to compete, calling the organisation bigoted won't change that it was never divided by gender, but by sex.
