That's what my friend is doing in Japan. He's at a small village and he gets paid heavily and his housing is paid for.

Unless you already have a teaching license you can't get a job at a public school and will only get offers at Hagwons. Quality of those can vary dramatically. Some are just as nice as public schools, some are huge scams which won't pay you what they advertise and can revoke your plane ride home at the last minute.

Plus the housing they provide is generally shit.

That's not right. I teach in the southern part of SK and I am one of a handful of people with teaching licenses. They are at public schools too. Hardly anyone has previous experince either. Seoul might be another story but the rural provinces take anyone with a pulse.

And no criminal background. And not HIV positive. >_>

Hagwons are pretty dicey though.

Also Moon Jae In is trying to fix the issues with a Sunshine Policy. So that should trump Trump. Honestly Koreans aren't too worried. >_>

The money for esl teaching is good there but everyone I know who has worked there said it's boring as fuck there. China pays really damn well as well.

yeah my cousin teaches in China and his biggest problem is air pollution...

but i dunno. its pretty boring where i live now. im not into going out and partying all the time anymore so whatever.

ill just go to a nice PC Bang and play overwatch and Starcraft
