It was early college, maybe a year or so in. I had class with this girl and we became friends pretty quickly because we shared the same philosophies regarding the planet, environmentalism, ect (it was a world events class.) Now this girl had a boyfriend, and he was twice my size so I didn't try anything, but he was a marine and their relationship was long distance and very stressed. She kept telling me how they were having problems and she wasn't happy. Then one day she came to class late and was distraught because she just found out she had breast cancer. That day she ran out of class and I didn't see her again for a week. I was in the library on the computer and asked me to come to her house to study. I said no because I had stuff and she never asked me again. After the semester ended I lost contact with her and never talked to her again. Years later I looked back on that and wondered if she maybe was into me.
