Try out an app called Jetfit.

Don't go crazy, you're a beginner, so don't try their advanced or intermediate stuff.

High protein/low fat foods. No sugar aside from what naturally occurs in healthy foods.

yes, diet is extremely important.

Also your routine sort of depends on what you want to accomplish. Whats your goal? Is it to slim down, do you want to be muscular?

Just as a word of advice. Its hard in the beginning but if you stick with it it gets easier and you'll feel better

Its 70% diet, 20% workout 10% mental

There are plenty of good beginners workout routines on the internet you can find. Bodybuilding.com has a lot of good basic ones that can get you started. Just find one that hits the areas you want to workout and go for it

What's your current physique and how fat are you? Depending on your weight, you should start with calisthenics, 3 sets of push ups, 3 sets of pull ups, 3 sets of squats every other day

Note that pull ups are extremely important and there's no substitute for them

I've tried and failed at gaining weight but I've seen a lot of people recommend 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight every day. I saw more results doing this than from just counting calories. It just gets expensive after a while.

This man. I don't eat enough protein so when I started lifting I lost weight but I did and have gotten stronger. Muscles slightly more defined. I gotta eat better that's what's holding me back tbh.
