Cuz it does and I care about accuracy? His race do play a role regarding interaction with a certain character. You can tell from artworks and from the book that Roland is always white/Caucasian.

Again, unless this is something completely different and doesn't based off the book.

if there's no Susanthen his race doesn't really matter to the story, tbh.

but the trailer really has me looking forward to the movie.

You can just change Susan's insults towards him (Oreo instead of cracker, for example) and it'd be about the same.

i stopped reading the series after the fourth (i think, maybe third) book. i've been hearing the movie is apparently a sequel to the books and not an adaptation, is that true?

Sort of.

Massive book series ending spoilers. When Roland finally gets to the Dark Tower and ascends to the highest level, a voice congratulates him for caring more about his comrades "this time." It then proceeds to reset time, putting Roland back at the start of the first book with the implication that all of this has happened before (but will it happen again?). So the movie can be both a sequel and an adaptation.

Just watched the trailer and I want to see the film. Not at the movies but when it comes out on blu-ray. Never read the books but I do like Stringer Bell.

Quick question if this movie is suppose to tie into his other works does anyone know if this the new IT and the tv series Castle Rock will have anything to do with each other?

Probably nothing more than references which is usually what it amounts to in the books.

But it is way too confusing.

I read this and it gave me some insight. Not going to lie I might just start a binge on Stephen King movies. I've seen some based on his books but not a lot. I also read The Green Mile up to the final chapter but didn't finish it. Might watch that too.

That isn't at all important to the story...they don't need to include every line and it didn't factor into the plot
