Seriously, whose stupid idea was that? If feels like a big prank. When you finally need system restore, you basically just get a page giving you a big middle finger and saying you should have predicted the future.

Fuck, I wish I had seen this topic like 2 days ago.

I got a forced update that messed up my computer and couldn't figure out exactly what change it was that screwed things up. Figured I'd just use the old trusty system restore only to discover THE MOTHER FUCK -ING BASTARDS TURN IT OFF BY DEFAULT NOW!

This computer has a fresh Windows 10 install as of a few weeks ago, and it has system restore on too. I did not change it or install anything that could have.

So yeah, I'd say they're on by default.

With Windows 10, Microsoft seems to have disabled System Restore by default — at least on some PCs.

It seems some have it disabled and others do not.

Another thing is using Microsoft Word on PC, if you just want to make a circle shape, it's not one of the options. You have to make an oval and alter it a little. On the Mac version of word, the circle is it's own option.
