I work 6 days a week and at least 10-12 hours a day. The minimum is 60 hours a work but most of the time I hit close to 80 hours. I dont understand how this is going to work if I plan to have my own family. I can see the first few years being very difficult due to the baby crying and maybe I'll get less than 2 hours of sleep a night and I cant imagine that being any good for my job which requires you to be alert and sharp throughout the day. Then I also need to put in time to spend with my wife too.... how the fuck is this going to work?

Don't worry. Eventually relief will come in the way of your wife's second husband.

Adopt a kid. Skip the baby years and you won't lose out on the sleep. Find a wife who will accept your working hours.

I'm literally living it right now, with my wife working. It's fucking hard but we make it work. The biggest thing I have given up is 8hrs of sleep a night so I can make time for the kids and my wife.

How do you plan to deal with bigger events for your kids in the future? Like graduation or prom.

Be careful getting married. All those hours would cause problems, you don't wana get wiped out. Single life would be good for you, date and fuck multiple women. Respectfully, etc. And see who works out

It's why I don't want kids. It's not fair to the child.

Sucks being lonely though. I mean the money is good and all but my social life is nonexistant except at work.

Work on your social life don't marry due to loneliness. You can get all that without the contract of marriage

What do you do? And how long must you work these hours for the forsee able future?

Anything important I book off. I use a personal day or a sick day, both of which I get paid for.

Maybe get a less-demanding job, or start cutting back the amount that you work at your current job? Honestly I can't understand people who pull 60+ hour weeks every week. I can barely stand 40 hours a week.

What type of work do you do? Are you working an oilfield job, cause damn that's a lot of hours.
I know the feeling though, I work around 50 hours a week, but in a few weeks I'll be taking on some more hours...

Personally, I love my job and it pays well hourly. I. Also start really early in the morning so it doesn't affect my home life very much.
