Turn based:
Phantasy Stay I-IV Xenogears Xenosaga Cosmic Star Heroine Wild Arms 3-5 (technically the first couple as well) Final Fantasy VIII Many jrps actually blend sci-fi and fantasy. I'd say there are just as many with sci-fi elements as there are without. I'd also recommend the Star Ocean series, though it's not turn based. --- "If history is to change, let it change!
