2) I believe it's important for a other to spend a large portion with the child during those first few years. It's healthy for both of them

Actually there were other stay at home mothers she met during that time period. It's not totally uncommon for people to feel this way about raising a kid.

It always blows my mine how people can have a baby and stick the baby in day care at like 4 months old or some this like that. You're basically not even raising the kid someone else is. It makes me sad to think about it.

If you work 2 jobs and enjoy it or do it for family, there's literally nothing wrong with it. At all. It's clear as day this was meant to be a troll topic, but the HypnoCoosh guy isn't wrong. If people work hard enough here, you can get by way better than in some other countries.

Very few jobs pay as low as $8.25 per hour, if that's the best you can get, that's sounds like laziness to me anyway. I can admit some people have it hard, there are racial factors that may come into play. But in general, it's not hard for anybody to find a job that pays at least $13 or $14 an hour.

I think 14 is a good age.

If a kid wants to make money before 14 working they can do chores for money.

I used to walk around and find weekly customers to mow their lawn in the neighborhood. I started this when I was around 10.

I also cleaned gutters and shoveled snow.

So 14 is good for legit "taxable" work. Anything less than that a kid can find other ways to make money.

My daughter has chores around the house and earns money per job.

I'm actually teaching her the benefits of hard work. As she get's older I'll teach her the benefits of education and working smarter not harder.

Just fucking lol. I think it's businesses' fault and that left to their own devices, there wouldn't be a middle class at all. So the state is pretty much the only thing that can control that. I don't know how much labor theory you've studied or economics in general, but a healthy middle class is the hallmark of a good economy. Happy workers are the hallmark of a successful business, especially in regards to productivity. Crime is linked to poverty on top of that.

And btw, everyone's wages go up as a result of the min wage increase due to wage competition. Oh yeah, tax revenue goes up, business revenue goes up from increased consumption and debt and default payments go down, which would reduce prices on a lot of things.
