The problem with the poker scenes are that they're focused too much on "oooh he randomly got dealt a massive hand, that's amazing!"
Like who the fuck cares? Poker is much more interesting as an intellectual and psykological battle and all they do with that is some baby's first poker lesson shit. It was a good start for a potential great series reboot, but the following movies, besides Skyfall, pissed all that potential away. Especially Spectre.
