Why does it matter what they think of you? Whatever anyone thinks of you does not affect your life in any respect. What matters is how YOU view yourself. If you know in your hearts of hearts that you've done nothing wrong and that your conscience is clear, then you're good to go. You've tried your best to explain your side of the circumstance. Whether or not anyone listens or understands is not up to you. You've done your part and that's all there is to it. Find peace in that. There will always be people you will dislike you and who you will dislike for no other reason than "just because". And that's okay. That's life. We don't need to all like each other but if we can just get along with antagonising each other, that's enough. I also do understand that by creating this topic you invoke catharsis and that's okay too. Some seek approval from others not to assuage guilt or get attention, it can also be because they view negative comments from others as the gospel truth....obscuring their view on their own self worth.
