I was taking my dog for a walk and I saw it. Pretty sure it was like an old Wolf Spider, it's leg span was like 4 inches, maybe even slightly larger. It was so big that it's eyes glistened in the light of my flashlight which is how I spotted it to begin with.

It was kind of amazing, largest spider I have ever seen in person outside of a zoo, I didn't know they got that big and lived around here.

Naturally, after observing it for a few seconds, I crushed it with a rock.

RIP vile spawn of Satan.

One time I had a brown scorpion in my bed, it stung me on the finger a few times and I woke up feeling like my hand was under an open flame. I'm really glad that thing didn't go for the dick.

I've seen huge spiders too, never killed them

TC killing them just makes it bad, they're harmless if you leave then alone

...

i capture them to get a better look at them, teach other people about why they're awesome, or to keep as pets.

i've said in this very topic that wolf spiders, specifically, are my favorite animal.

I think you misunderstand me, I was agreeing with you and that question was directed at TC (I think the 'vile spawn of Satan' should've given it away)

I mean, you say you've been harassing them for a long time and never been bitten, then spiders don't really want to harm you, and TC killed it anyway

Spiders are fine as long as they don't hang on webs right next to your face or crawl on places where you're going to sit or on you. They need to die then.

not sure why australia is associated w/ spiders, there's a whooooole lot more in the tropical americas.

This confuses me too, I've lived in Australia for nearly 30 years and the biggest thing I've seen is a huntsman, which is about 1/3rd of the size of a tarantula and it's stick thin and not big and hairy, and it's been nearly 10 years since I've even seen one in person
