A great Hanzo might match the DPS of the offensive characters currently in meta. An average or worse Hanzo often ends up just being a liability.
Given the requirements of tanks and healers, if the one or two DPS aren't getting consistent kills and not just trash damage (i.e. damage without final blow leading to the enemy just getting healed back up shortly), you can't win. Period. The end. As a result, people get frustrated because Hanzo mains often pick into him regardless of team comp. This forces actually good DPS into supportive roles and if the Hanzo can't carry, it's game over. --- "He has two neurons held together by a spirochete." ... Copied to Clipboard!

its the typical anime cool character so people who are awful at the game rush to play him.
