There's nowhere to hide in my house, or anywhere nearby.
I'd walk down to the liquor store, get a big bottle of whiskey and then go and find a place to watch the fireworks. Although I do live in a rural desert town. I might be safe myself. Where I live I'd be ok up to the 4-5000 kilotons. After that I'm in the thermal radiation field, not sure if my house is enough to survive that. It's outside the airblast radius so should be structurally sound, not sure how long the thermal radiation stays after the blast, so going on my assumptions I should be fine anywhere in the house.

My gfs mom's house has a bomb shelter under the master bedroom. Her house is about 10 minutes from where my gf and I live so we probably wouldn't make it

Honestly if I was gonna die from a nuclear bomb, I'd definitely want to be in the blast radius and instantly be vaporized than die from fallout, radiation poisoning, or anything slow and painful like that
